For the third time in a row, an international symposium will take place on the day before GeoTHERM, February 13, 2019 in the Oberrheinhalle on the Offenburg Exhibition Center. After Latin America and Asia, the riparian states of the Baltic Sea are the focus of the event "Baltic Sea Symposium". The event is initiated by the International Energy Agency (IEA Geothermal TCP) and carried out in cooperation with the International Geothermal Association (IGA).
International and national representatives use this opportunity to exchange information on current activities, findings and projects of the geothermal sector in the Baltic Sea States. "It is obviously that these cold-wintering countries are likely to have a high level of interest and demand for geothermal energy and technologies to exit from conventional fossil-fuel heat generation. With the combination of country, market and technical information, this symposium offers the ideal platform for networking of international and national participants during the largest sector event. The successes of the last two years make me optimistic for the "Baltic Sea Symposium", Dr. Lothar Wissing from Projektträger Jülich and Chairman of the IEA Geothermal TCP is convinced.
The Symposium will be held in Englisch – further details to follow.
